STATUES ALSO MOVE

Staues also Move Live performance. March 13th 2025, during the private view of Traces of Being, an exhibition co-produced by Aspire 2024/5 cohort at Aspex Portsmouth . Performed with Carmen Gray and María Paton. About the performance: Expanding on my long-term project Statues Also Die (S.A.D), an evolving archive exploring my experience as a life model. The piece examines movement, migration, and belonging, reflecting on the changing significance of the body, especially post-Brexit. Inspired by Embodied Activism exhibition by Sivan Rubinstein and Ego Geometria Sum by Helen Chadwick, the performance transforms static poses into movement, embodying resistance, connection, and personal history. Co-curated by Lena Evans & Anu Gamanagari.
